A spider is an insect and has eight legs and it’s very clever because its able to make webs.

A spider is an type of insect that has a special type of organ that allows them to shoot webs. And their eight legs lets them stay on walls or as long as they want.

Also the way they make their web is by making a y-shape web the putting other webs around it to make it strong the from the centre it starts making a spiral and completing the web.    

One day a boy named Damien went to the public library to get some books to read. He likes reading books that are like the Explorer. Damien  is about 13 years old. He is a very funny guy and cool. He is 5’7 feet tall and has black brown hair. He is from Auckland New Zealand and lives in mangere Damien  likes riding dirt bikes in his free time.He lives in a big nice house and likes writing stories and reading. 

Thirty minutes after Damien got to the library, he heard a loud sound that was followed by breaking glass noises. He was so afraid this would be a robbery. The lady who was scanning other people’s books heard the bang as well. She said “to them to hop over and hide behind the counter”. No one knew what it was so she called security to check it out but they did not answer. So everyone snuck to the other employees to safety. Meanwhile Damien was sneaking to check out what was making all the noise coming from the back of the library.

Damien heard some hard breathing coming around. He was scared because when he walked in the library The security were super two big men.So he wondered who could do it because out of everyone he has seen in his hometown they were the biggest he has seen. He thought no one could take them down while he was still sneaking he heard other footsteps coming up behind him.So he ran knowing they wouldn’t see him running then he sees the employees hiding so he slides over to them sweating.Then they asked what he is doing here he explained the whole not but kinda long story starting from the very beginning of his day making the probably robber get more books but like probably 5 minutes after his whole story got to like the point. So when he told them about the hard breathing they said they probably know why the security didn’t answer so. They voted for Damien to go check it out so he snuck the best he could to the front where some other people were.After making sure they were ok he quickly went to the front but to his surprise. The guards were nowhere to be seen.

 So he went around the building just to check and to be super relieved. The guards found out what happened. So the back door was opened and it was in the ail way so then this big but super friendly dog came in knocking over just some glasses of water so then the guards came getting knocked over by the frightened dog and crashing into 2 bookshelves making the bang. Then they were playing with the dog.He went in and told everyone what the source of the noise was.Everyone was relieved then one of the guards decided to take the dog home and keep him also to give him a wash. So after some time cleaning and getting his books he started walking home thinking about what happened so he started to laugh at it and walked home happily with his books.    

This is my wonder reflection its about jack will cause he is my favourite character but the book is about his best friend august.

Our literacy class have started  new ”chapter chat” called The Explorer by katherine Rundell. We have designed our own raft using what we think the Amazon Rainforest. Here is our group design.
